Measuring the Winter Downpour
Recent trade-wind squalls delivered four inches of rain across the upper slopes, filling our catchment tanks and jump-starting the spring clover growth. The cattle have moved willingly to the lower paddocks while the upper ridge rests and recovers.
New Arrivals in the Lower Pasture
Two healthy calves joined the herd this week, both settling quickly into the rhythm of the morning muster. Our volunteers spent the afternoon reinforcing the shaded windbreak near the lower watering trough to keep the young stock comfortable.
Rebuilding the Windward Fences
Over twenty community volunteers and neighbors turned out on Saturday with post-hole diggers and fresh cedar timber. Together we mended three hundred yards of paddock boundary, ensuring secure rotational grazing for the upcoming season.

Morning mist settling over the lower tree line before the sun clears the ridge.
